Overview:
The Umbilical Engineer will be a member of the Subsea Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE), which provides technical expertise to the Upstream Major Capital Projects and Base Business organizations. CoE employees fill various positions, including research and development, short term consulting/problem solving, with potential for long term secondment to Major Capital Projects or Strategic Business Units. Typical roles may include project scoping, concept selection, FEED and detailed design, fabrication, installation and/or operation of subsea facilities.

Position Details: Key Job Responsibilities for these positions:
• Coordinating and managing the Subsea umbilical Scope from Phase 3 FEED, through Phase 4 detailed design, manufacture, testing and installation/commissioning phase
• Generation of detailed functional specifications and bid packages, performing bid analysis, review of design and test documentation, interface management, QA/QC and testing oversight, integration testing, equipment installation and system commissioning
• A key focal point in the subsea team and will require collaborative interface with the D&C team, facilities team, operations team, HES, as well as external stakeholders including partners and regulatory authorities
• Expected to liaise with other Major Capital Projects, Business Units and Energy Technology Company groups for technical support and sharing of lessons learned
• Offshore support during commissioning and start-up is also expected
